Petaluma Tomorrow Receives California State Assembly Certificate of Recognition from Assemblywoman Carole Migden for Petaluma River Music Festival
Petaluma, CA - The first annual Petaluma River Music Festival, held Sunday, July 21st, was a raving success according to many attendees. The highlight of the festival was the dynamic soul and R&B music of The Scott Brothers Band. Their vocal renditions of Sam and Dave and Al Green classics made dancing irresistible.
Festival organizers also received a pleasant surprise when they were presented with a California State Assembly Certificate of Recognition from Assemblywoman Carole Migden.
"In honor of your first annual Petaluma River Music Festival and in recognition of your essential advocacy for responsible government and community education in Petaluma", the certificate read.
A beautiful setting at Foundry Wharf lawn along the Petaluma River, and wonderful Sonoma County weather created a perfect day for the festival. The diverse musical line-up of R&B, "bebop" jazz and folk rock, along fine wines and beer from sponsors like Philip Staley Winery, Lagunitas Brewing Company, Haart's Desire Winery, Mendocino Brewing Company, Corda Winery and Hop Kiln Winery provided something for everyone.
The festival organizers were extremely pleased with the attendance at this first year event and are already making plans for next year.
